Mikaela Uhlman, MEd, Eds

Independent School Psychologist

Mikaela is a licensed independent school psychologist, credentialed by the Ohio Board of Psychology to provide services in both public school and clinical settings. She earned her B.A. in Psychology from Ohio Wesleyan University and went on to complete her Master’s in Education and Educational Specialist degree in School Psychology at Kent State University.


Mikaela has extensive experience, having worked as a school psychologist in public schools for eight years and in private practice for six years. She specializes in psychoeducational evaluations, counseling, educational consultation, and evidence based interventions. She has worked with children from preschool age through young adulthood. 


Her areas of expertise include learning disabilities, intellectual disability, anxiety, depression, behavioral disorders, autism spectrum disorder, and ADHD. In therapy, Mikaela draws on her training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to promote emotional well-being, executive functioning, and social skill development. She also holds certifications in cognitive therapy and in trauma and resilience.


Mikaela is passionate about working collaboratively with children, families, and educators to recognize individual strengths and navigate challenges in ways that support meaningful growth and development.


Outside of work, Mikaela enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, reading, and hiking.
