Selena is a licensed School Psychologist with over a decade of experience in education. She holds a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Miami University, a Principal License, and a Master’s and Educational Specialist degree in School Psychology from The Ohio State University. Selena has worked as a school psychologist for seven years in public schools and three years in private practice. She also holds a Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education from the University of Rio Grande, along with a reading endorsement. Before becoming a school psychologist, Selena was a classroom teacher and reading specialist, trained in Orton Gillingham and passionate about the Science of Reading. She is also a certified LGBTQ+ Affirmative Care Specialist, with advanced training in trauma recovery, identity development, and inclusive clinical practices.

Selena is an advocate for the Science of Reading, LGBTQIA+ rights, and equity in education. She served as Co Chair for the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee on the Ohio School Psychologist Association executive board. Her expertise includes supporting children and adolescents with anxiety, ADHD, depression, emotional regulation, executive functioning needs, and Specific Learning Disabilities including Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, and Dyscalculia.

Selena offers counseling, therapy, social groups, diagnostic evaluations, and parent advocacy. Her specialties include therapy for middle and high school students, working with LGBTQIA+ youth, conducting diagnostic evaluations, supporting parents of children with disabilities, and providing affirming care for identity exploration and related concerns.

Selena uses she and her pronouns and lives in Powell, Ohio, with her three dogs. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, CrossFit, reading, fashion, movies, and exploring new research based approaches.
