Sierra Klotz, MA, LPCC

Professional Clinical Counselor

Sierra Klotz is a licensed professional clinical counselor who enjoys working across the lifespan, helping clients sort through transitions, improving their functioning, and reaching their goals. Sierra takes a client centered and solution focused approach to her sessions, encouraging clients to explore the areas they want to grow and improve, while offering a supportive and safe environment to do so. She is passionate about helping clients with ADHD, anxiety, depression, and adjustments or life transitions.

Sierra received her BS in psychology and family studies from Barclay College and went onto to Liberty University to receive her MA in clinical mental health counseling. While in her master's program, she worked for a community based agency, providing after school counseling, in home, outpatient, and crisis services for high risk youth and adults. Sierra is also licensed in the state of Virginia where she began her counseling career before moving to Columbus in August 2025.

Sierra enjoys working with people from all walks of life, including a variety of religions and lifestyles. As someone who has lived the Northeast (New Jersey), Midwest (Kansas and Ohio), and Southern (Virginia) regions of the US, Sierra appreciates different cultures, ideas, and belief systems. She uses techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and solution focused therapy, while keeping in mind what would best serve the client she is working with. Sierra enjoys learning about interventions from other treatments modalities to take on an eclectic approach, continuing to keep the focus on the client first. Sierra seeks to create a warm and nonjudgmental environment for each client, where they can feel comfortable and invited to explore their inner self, improve their self care, and become the person they want to be.

Outside of work, Sierra enjoys going to the gym, reading, attending concerts, and cheering on her favorite sports teams, the Columbus Blue Jackets and New York Mets. She lives in Columbus with her cat, Zane, who loves to keep her on her toes with his kitten mischief.
