Julia Biehl, LISW-S

Early Childhood Mental Health Therapist

Julia Biehl is a licensed mental health therapist who specializes in supporting young children and their families through life’s challenges. She supports families with children ranging from
newborns through early adolescence, offering a strengths-based, relationship-focused approach to help build stronger connections and develop practical strategies for growth, resilience, and healing.

Julia has experience helping families navigate a wide range of concerns, including behavioral challenges, trauma, life transitions, and parenting stress. In her therapeutic work, Julia uses play-based therapy to engage children in a developmentally appropriate and meaningful way, and she
is currently in the process of earning her Registered Play Therapist (RPT) credential.

Julia is trained in a variety of evidence-based therapies specific to working with young children including Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Perinatal Child-Parent Psychotherapy (P-CPP), and Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT). She also integrates more traditional therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Family Systems Therapy (FST) to meet the diverse needs of
individuals and families.

As part of an integrated care team, Julia values collaboration with professionals across disciplines—including speech therapy, occupational therapy, psychiatry, and school professionals—to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care.

Outside of work, Julia enjoys life with her small family of three humans and three dogs. She loves being outdoors, traveling, and sharing good food with friends and loved ones.
