How We Onboard New Clients at Achieve (And Why It’s Built for Busy Parents)

Starting therapy or scheduling an evaluation shouldn’t feel like trying to enroll in an elite preschool with a five-page application, three references, and a goat sacrifice.

At Achieve Psychological and Academic Services, our client onboarding process is designed to be as smooth, fast, and non-overwhelming as humanly possible—because we know you’re already juggling 47 other things (and probably haven’t finished your coffee yet).

Here’s exactly what to expect—no fluff, no gatekeeping.

A woman holding a baby talks to a smiling receptionist at a desk in a cozy office. Papers and plants decorate the background.

🧾 Step 1: Inquiry & Contact

You can call, text, or fill out the contact form on our website. We don’t ghost you. We don’t leave you on read. We respond quickly and professionally—usually within 1–2 business days—because we know that when you finally hit “send,” you needed help like… yesterday.

Bonus: You don’t need to know exactly what you’re asking for. We’ll guide you.

📅 Step 2: Scheduling & Intake Setup

Our Office Manager (hi, Tabitha 👋) will help match you with the best-fit provider for your needs. She’ll:

  • Explain what services are available

  • Answer your questions (without jargon)

  • Help you pick a day/time that actually fits your chaos

  • Send you a secure link to our portal where you can complete your intake paperwork online

No PDFs. No printing. No fax machines. Because it’s not 1997.

🧠 Step 3: Paperwork That Makes Sense

We use SimplePractice—a secure, mobile-friendly portal where you can:

  • Complete all forms digitally (from your couch or your carpool line)

  • Upload any relevant documents (e.g., IEPs, prior evals, parenting plans)

  • Set up autopay

  • Send messages or upload notes/questions before your first session

And yes, we explain what everything means. Because informed consent is a vibe.

🪑 Step 4: The First Appointment

Whether you’re coming in for an evaluation or therapy, your first session is all about getting to know you and your child.

We’ll:

  • Review your history and concerns

  • Answer your questions

  • Outline what to expect next

  • Help your kid feel comfortable (yes, even if they’re shy, nonverbal, or skeptical AF)

No pressure. No judgment. Just curiosity and compassion.

📈 Step 5: What Happens After

You won’t be left wondering what’s next. We’ll send a recap of your session, outline goals, and set the plan moving forward—whether that’s a follow-up eval session, starting weekly therapy, or working on school support plans.

We also make sure:

✅ You know who to contact with questions

✅ Your schedule is locked in

✅ You don’t feel lost in the shuffle

🧡 Why It Works (Especially for Overloaded Parents)

We built this process with YOU in mind.

✔️ Fast response times

✔️ Minimal forms

✔️ Clear explanations

✔️ One system for everything

✔️ Real humans answering your emails

Because parenting is hard enough. Therapy access shouldn’t be. 💚

The Takeaway

Starting services at Achieve shouldn’t feel intimidating. It should feel like finally exhaling. Like someone’s got your back. Like you’re not doing this alone anymore.

If you’re ready, we’re ready.
